Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin Coconut Oil

"Virgin Coconut Oil" has phytonutrients and polyphenols, which have antioxidant, antibiotic, cancer-preventative, anti-inflammatory and other tissue-supportive and tissue-protective properties. Hence making it a healthy choice! Consuming a spoonful of Virgin Coconut Oil per day improves overall health and helps fight skin issues. Since it is a very pure form of coconut oil, it is safe to use it on infants for giving a body massage or to avoid nappy rashes.

Virgin Coconut Oil is extracted from fresh coconut and not from dried coconut/copra. We use the wet milling process to make unrefined, non-bleached and non-deodorized oil. In this method, coconut milk is extracted from fresh coconut meat and the coconut oil is separated through boiling.

We first grate the coconut and soak in water. Then squeeze it to extract coconut milk. Put the container with coconut milk into the refrigerator and leave it overnight. Next day a thick white layer would have formed in the container. Take only that part into a thick bottomed pan and discard the water. Heat the pan on low flame, you will see something like curdling and splitting. In about one hour you will see that the oil is separated from the other materials. Take off the flame and let it cool to room temperature. Strain the oil to a glass container. Your virgin coconut oil is ready to be used!!
